Iguazu Falls works well with children. Young children enter both parks free, up to an age limit that each park sets, and they need a photo ID like everyone else. In Argentina the park train takes strollers, the stations have changing tables and the park rents strollers for babies; in Brazil, families who cannot manage stairs can stay on the park bus to Porto Canoas and take the lift down to the walkway. Of the extra experiences, Macuco Safari, the Itaipu panoramic visit and Parque das Aves take children of all ages, while La Gran Aventura and the inside tour of Itaipu have minimum ages. Keep food closed around coatis.
In short
- Young children enter both parks free, up to each park's age limit, with a photo ID
- Argentina: the train takes strollers; changing tables at the stations; strollers for babies to rent
- Brazil: without stairs, ride the park bus to Porto Canoas and take the lift to the walkway
- Macuco Safari, Itaipu panoramic and Parque das Aves take all ages
Who pays and who enters free
Each park sets its own age limit. Children below it enter free with a photo ID, so you do not add them to the booking; from that age, they need their own entry. The table shows the limits.

Questions
Do children pay to enter Iguazu Falls?
Young children enter free, up to an age limit set by each park, with a photo ID. From that age they need their own entry; the limits are in the table.
Can I bring a stroller?
In Argentina yes: the train takes strollers and the park rents strollers for babies at the entrance. The Brazilian park's accessibility information does not mention strollers, and its Falls Trail has stairs; the lift at Porto Canoas avoids them.
Which boat ride can children do?
Macuco Safari, on the Brazilian side, takes all ages with an adult. La Gran Aventura, on the Argentine side, has a minimum age.
Do children need a passport?
Every visitor shows a photo ID at the park gate, and to cross between the two countries each child needs a valid travel document. Argentina asks for extra documents when minors travel without both parents.
