Iguazu Falls park rules: what is allowed on each side

Both parks ask you to stay on the marked trails, never to feed or touch the animals, to take your litter and to leave plants, rocks and seeds where they are. Pets are not allowed in either park, and visitors may not fly drones. Each entry is personal: the gate checks a photo ID that matches the name on the ticket.

In short

  • Stay on the marked trails and walkways
  • Do not feed, touch or call the animals; watch your food around coatis
  • No pets (Brazil admits guide and emotional support dogs with documents) and no drones
  • Your entry is personal: carry the photo ID it was issued to

Rules in both parks

  • Stay on the marked trails and walkways; do not take shortcuts
  • Do not feed the animals; watch them from a distance and do not touch or call them
  • Put your litter in the bins or take it with you
  • Leave animals, plants, rocks, fruits and seeds in the park
  • Visitors may not fly drones or any motorised aircraft
Coatis approach people who are eating. Both parks warn about it: keep food closed in your bag and watch them from a distance.

Brazilian park

  • Pets are not allowed; guide dogs and emotional support dogs may enter with their documents
  • Walk quietly: the park asks visitors to keep noise down on the trails
  • Cars do not drive inside: the park's buses, included in the ticket, take you to the trail

Argentine park

  • Domestic animals are not allowed; free kennels are available next to the parking area
  • Some sectors may close temporarily for maintenance or weather; the Devil's Throat walkway closes when the river is high
  • Your entry is for the day and time slot you chose and cannot be changed after purchase
