Questions

Do I visit both sides on the same day?

You can, but most visitors do one side per day. The entries are for two dates you choose; the Brazilian one also has a time slot.

Which side should I do first?

Brazil first gives you the overview, Argentina second gets you close. Our Brazil-or-Argentina guide walks through the trade-offs.

Do I still pay anything at the gates?

Not for the entries themselves. Parking, lockers and optional activities are paid at each park, in its currency. Bring some pesos and reais for those.

Is there one ticket for both sides of Iguazu Falls?

No. The Brazilian and the Argentine parks are separate national parks in separate countries, each with its own ticket, currency and rules. Our Both Sides ticket puts the two purchases into one checkout; it does not replace either park's entry.

Which ID do I need at the Brazilian gate?

A photo ID matching the name on the ticket; for foreign visitors that is the passport. Several tickets can be bought under one name, but each visitor shows their own ticket and their own ID.

How far ahead can I buy the Argentine ticket?

Sales open thirty days before the visit date. The ticket is valid only for the day and time slot you select and cannot be changed after purchase; in case of force majeure it keeps its validity for seventy-two hours.

Which currency does each park charge in?

Brazil in reais, Argentina in pesos. Neither charges in dollars; the USD amounts on this site are indicative conversions at the rate and date shown next to them.
