Rio de Janeiro to Iguazu Falls: flights and the way to the park

Fly to Foz do Iguaçu. The city has direct flights from Rio de Janeiro, which the Brazilian park says take about two hours. Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is about four kilometres from the park's falls area, roughly ten minutes by road on the BR-469, and from there a taxi, a ride app or the city bus takes you to the park entrance at kilometre 18 of that road. By road, the BR-277 across the state of Paraná is the main link to Foz do Iguaçu. To see the Argentine side as well, cross the Tancredo Neves bridge on another day.

From Foz do Iguaçu, the Argentine park is across the Tancredo Neves bridge, in Puerto Iguazú. One day per park is the comfortable plan; what each country checks at the border is in crossing the border, and the order of the two days in the first-time guide.
